FAQ
BB Cream is short for “Beauty Balm” or “Blemish Balm”.
A BB Cream is a one-size-fits-all base product, similar to a tinted moisturiser, that is often used as an everyday alternative to foundation.
A BB Cream acts as a primer, moisturiser and foundation all-in-one, often with the added benefits of skincare.
BB Creams provide lightweight coverage, hydrate the skin, smooth and even out the complexion, while skincare ingredients moisturise and prevent against signs of ageing.
BB Cream stands for “Beauty Balm” or “Blemish Balm”.
A BB Cream provides lightweight coverage that evens out skin tone and conceals imperfections, instantly boosting your skin's natural glow for a fresh-faced finish.
BB Creams often contain amazing skincare ingredients that hydrate and treat the skin.
Our Miracle BB Cream contains hyaluronic acid, an amazing hydrating ingredient that intensely hydrates and moisturises, instantly plumps the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
No, our Miracle BB Cream does not contain SPF.
Dermatologists and skin experts recommend wearing a stand alone SPF product everyday to protect the skin against sun damage, in order to prevent the likelihood of skin cancers and sun-related aging of the skin.
The SPF contained in many BB Creams is not enough to adequately the skin against sun damage.
Cancer Council Australia recommends applying one teaspoon (approximately 5ml) of sunscreen to the face, neck and ears everyday.
We recommend applying your favourite SPF as the final step in your skincare routine, then following with our Miracle BB Cream on top.
Our Miracle BB Cream can be applied using a brush, makeup sponge or fingers.
The formula is buildable, meaning it is suitable for applying in additional layers on those areas requiring more coverage, such as uneven skin tone, redness, dark under-eye circles, pigmentation, sun damage, breakouts or congestion.
We do find many of our customers prefer to apply our Miracle BB Cream with their fingers, as the lightweight, hydrating formula is extremely easy to blend without additional beauty tools.
While BB Cream is short for "Beauty Balm" or "Blemish Balm", CC Cream stands for "Colour Correcting Cream" or "Complexion Corrector Cream".
A CC Cream generally offers more coverage than a BB Cream and neutralises redness and/or dark circles by correcting discolouration.
Similar to BB Creams, CC Creams are often boosted with skincare ingredients and often serve the function of a primer, moisturiser and foundation.
The main difference between a BB Cream and a foundation is the coverage. A BB Cream has a much more lightweight coverage than a foundation.
Our Miracle BB Cream is our most lightweight base product.
Our Miracle Hydra Glow Oil-Free Foundation is a light-medium coverage foundation and our UltraStay Flawless Foundation is a medium-full coverage foundation.
All of our products are buildable, meaning you can apply one layer and then build up additional layers in those areas where you're after more coverage.
